Functional Industries Earns Highest CARF Accreditation

March 27, 2015 — Functional Industries proudly announces that we have been accredited by CARF for a period of three years for the following Employment and Community Services:

  • Community Employment Services: Job Development
  • Community Employment Services: Employment Supports
  • Employee Development Services
  • Employment Planning Services
  • Organizational Employment Services

This accreditation will extend through May 2017. This achievement is yet another indication of Functional Industries’ dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of individuals we serve.

In a letter to Functional Industries Brian J. Boon, President & CEO of CARF, wrote:

"Please also be advised that the CARF surveyors made no recommendations, which signifies that they did not identify any areas of nonconformance to the standards. This is an extraordinary accomplishment, as only 3 percent of CARF surveys result in no recommendations."

Note: Established in 1966, CARF is the preeminent internationally recognized accreditation authority promoting and advocating for quality rehabilitation services. With headquarters in Tucson, Arizona and accredited organizations throughout the United States and Canada, CARF develops standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their rehabilitation programs. CARF is a privately funded, not-for-profit organization.
