A survey team from CARF International will be visiting Functional Industries’ campus March 15-17th, 2017. We invited the surveyors to evaluate how well we meet the international standards for quality. The survey will tell us what we are doing well and ways we might improve. As a result of this survey we may continue accreditation in the following programs: Community Employment Services: Employment Supports (CES:ES), Community Employment Services: Job Development (CES:JD), Employee Development Services (EDS), Employment Planning Services (EPS) and Organizational Employment Services (OES).
CARF International is an independent, not-for-profit family of organizations (including CARF, CARF Canada, and CARF-CCAC) that provides accreditation in the field of human services. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities, the accrediting body is known as CARF. Click here to learn more about CARF International!
Accreditation is a process that demonstrates a provider has met standards for the quality of its services. CARF International establishes these standards to guide providers in offering their services and also uses the standards to evaluate how well a provider is serving people and how it can improve.
As a step toward accreditation, Functional Industries invited surveyors from CARF International to visit and evaluate our services for quality. The surveyors will be at Functional Industries’ campus on March 15-17th, 2017 to consult with staff members and interview people who receive services, their families and other stakeholders.
